France is experimenting with marijuana
The French Parliament has passed a law on a two-year experiment in the marijuana medical use for a limited group of patients, according to France 24. At its conclusion, a final decision will be made on whether to make the practice permanent and for all.
A number of studies show that cannabis is effective for multiple sclerosis, chemotherapy, chronic pain, glaucoma and congenital central nervous system disorders known as “Tourette’s syndrome”. Therapeutic use of marijuana is permitted in 17 of 28 European countries, six Latin American countries, Australia and 33 US states.
