Does cannabis inhibit the development of mental disorders or, vice versa, can cannabis develop it?
Cannabis is a rather individual thing. And mental disorders are also quite individual things. The brain is an incredibly complex machine. This is not a stomach, where everything is trite and predictable. Cannabis makes some people cheerful, loads down others, and it makes paranoid still others. Others have got schizophrenia, others have got epilepsy, others have got depression, and others have got multiple personality syndrome. Others can rejoice when when they are sick at heart, others take a karmic lesson from psychosis, others ask the priest if they can paint their lips on Fridays. The combination of all these categories generates incredibly different effects of cannabis on mental disorders.
One thing is known: mentally-healthy people will not have any disorders from cannabis (no matter what, be it a CBD, or THC). But if a mental disorder is dormant in your mind, then cannabis may well awaken it. Cannabis can either inhibit or increase frustration, so if there is a frustration, the question of prescribing cannabis should be decided only by a doctor. Self-treatment is not allowed in this matter!
