Another country recognized marijuana as medicinal marijuana

The Paraguayan Senate approved a bill that would regulate drug trafficking and legalize the medical use of cannabis herb.

According to Ultima Hora, the document provides that people who grow and process marijuana for exclusively independent and medical consumption will be exempted from liability. However, a person must have a certificate of a disease in which medical cannabis can be used, as confirmed by the Ministry of Health and social services.

It is reported that Paraguayan companies will begin issuing licences for production and controlled commercialization of medical marijuana.

The Ministry of Health will receive 2% of the goods produced directly, which will be distributed free of charge to those in need.

In August, it was reported that Luxembourg would become the first European country to fully legalize marijuana.
